​All athletes are special and make the country proud when they represent their countries at the Olympics. This year, two athletes are going viral for competing while pregnant. Many others in the past have also won hearts.

​Yaylagul Ramazanova​

​She is the second archer to represent Azerbaijan. Being six and a half months pregnant, she competed in the women’s single competition, narrowly defeating Chinese archer An Qixuan in the first round 6-5.

​Nada Hafez​

She is a fencer from Egypt who was seven months pregnant while competing. She finished in top 16 and this was her best finish ever.

​Kristie Moore​

She was five months pregnant at the time, making her only the third Olympic athlete to be pregnant during the Olympic competition in Vancouver in 2010. She won a silver medal in ice hockey.
